CityNet(®FairPark® is the solution of WSA electronic for the exact calculation of the parking at TicketLine pay & display machines.
When using FairPark®, the user is no longer bound to the initially selected parking duration, but can terminate the parking process before the end of the parking time. The user will not be charged for the unused parking time.

With this new flexibility, the problem of the user is solved, to select the parking duration as exactly as possible in advance, in order to avoid overpayment respectively to exceed the parking duration. The benefits of FairPark® for the parking management operator is a higher acceptance of paid parking as a result of the exact charging for actually used parking time. The use of FairPark® requires payments with credit cards or other cashless means of payment, e.g. ec-cards in Germany.

The increased use of cashless means of payment results in a lower cash value in the PDMs. This reduces the costs for cash collection and also the risk of intrusion attempts. Experiences with FairPark® since 2003 in Norway show, that strong interest and active use exist once the users have been informed about the new features.
