Operation:

 Buying a ticket is a very simple and quick matter because of the logical user instructions of TicketLine 2011. Thus the machine has a high degree of acceptance by the users.

By inserting coins the driver can select his parking time up to the maximum time of parking that is programmed. After each inserted coin the display shows the corresponding parking duration, end of parking time, the paid fee and in case of overpayment the small change which will be returned.

After the desired parking time is selected the ticket will be issued by pushing the „demand“ button. If the amount of money which is inserted into the machine is bigger than parking fee to be paid the TicketLine 2011 will return the difference as small change. By pushing the „cancel“ button the transaction can be stoped at any time.

In case the machine is equipped with a smart card reader the ticket can be bought by using a smart card.

After the card has been inserted into the card reader it is checked for validity. Furthermore area codes, expiry date and max. amount on the card will be controlled. Defective or invalid cards will be rejected.

The desired parking time can be easily selected with the help of the + / - buttons which are installed in those machines. By pressing the „demand“ button the ticket will be issued and the corresponding amount of money is debited from the card.

For the payment with credit card the TicketLine 2011 offers the possibility of refunding a part of the paid parking fee for unused parking time. If the car park is left earlier the amount that was charged as parking fee will be corrected by inserting the credit card again.

Tariff system:

The customer specific parameters for the parking fees in the machines depending on date, time and day of the week are for safety reasons preprogrammed by the manufacturer in an EPROM.

A very important advantage of TicketLine 2011 is the flexible tariff system which offers many possibilities of creating tariffs. Besides the standard linear, progressive and degressive rate structures also special tariffs can be programmed to allow an efficient parking management.

These are e.g. tariffs for residents, for public transport, for trucks, busses or motorbikes, etc.

The machine software allows the programming of currently up to seven different day types and for each day type you can specify 5 day time periods with different tariffs. Thus for each day of the week you can define a separate day type. The allocation of day types to 16 programmable special days is also possible.

Public holidays that are universally valid can be programmed for the next 10 years as free days. Tariff limits define the minimum fee and the maximum parking time.

The ticket print out is determined by the previously mentioned tariff definitions. Important data such as date, end of parking time, fee paid, name of location are standard. Special texts i.e. for advertising purposes can be programmed and printed in addition to this.
